Mike Tedder is a graduate of Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge UK with a passion for mixed-media collage, photography and design. His work is informed by personal and shared stimuli including dreams, emotion, language, something suddenly remembered, a song, or the experience of a particular moment. Exploring a juxtaposition of reality, fantasy, aesthetics and sensation, he examines some of the transient moments of real life experiences within both shared and autobiographical contexts.
As a young boy, he was enthralled by early experiments with his Kodak Instamatic camera, and photographic imagery remains an important part of his practice today. He is enthralled by the characteristics of analogue film, in particular exploring the unpredictable nature of expired instant Polaroid film that still performs, despite the challenge of failing chemical reaction, and creates an image imbued with an ethereal beauty of its imperfection.
His postgraduate studies include 'Enterprise, Entrepreneurship and Innovation', 'Project Management', and 'Event Design' from the University Centre Folkestone UK.
Mike Tedder has been commissioned, published and my work exhibited in solo/group events throughout the UK, Europe & North America.
