I am a graduate of Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge with a passion for mixed-media collage, photography and design, with a studio based in Dover UK.
My work is inspired by many stimuli such as a dream, an emotion, language, something suddenly remembered, a song, or the experience of a particular moment. Exploring a juxtaposition of reality, fantasy, aesthetics and sensation, I examine some of the transient moments of real life experiences within both shared and autobiographical contexts.
As a young boy, I was enthralled by early experiments with my Kodak Instamatic camera, and photographic imagery remains an important part of my practice today. I am passionate about analogue film, in particular exploring the unpredictable nature of expired instant Polaroid film that still performs, despite the challenge of failing chemical reaction, and creates an image imbued with an ethereal beauty of its imperfection.
My postgraduate studies include 'Enterprise, Entrepreneurship and Innovation', 'Project Management' and 'Event Design' from the University Centre Folkestone.
I have been commissioned, published and my work exhibited in solo/group events throughout the UK, Europe & North America..
Beyond the studio there is always so much more going on: whether it's the Sketchbook Project, gallery exhibitions, popular art-trails, open-air events and markets, or artist / handmade book projects.

Collaborations: I am always excited to work on collaborative projects including murals, print editions, book projects and group shows / fairs, sometimes in quite unusual locations.
Demonstrations: I have worked as an assistant university painting tutor, given demonstrations to groups, and lead small group adult tuition in printmaking and collage.
I work with a range of mixed-media, including paper-cut collage, print, text, plus both digital and analogue photographic processes. I hope that you will find my images stimulating, and will want to explore a little further...

South East Artists (SEAS) are exhibiting in Deal, Walmer, Ringwould and St. Margaret's Bay, in individual studios, galleries and at three group venues: the Angling Club, Astor Theatre and Landmark Centre on 22+23rd June & 29+30th June.
Work includes woodcuts, mosaic, glass, painting, photography, drawing, embroidered textiles, ceramics, pottery, printmaking, collage, montage, assemblage, constructions, following themes of heritage, travel, local scenes, events, people, ideas, feelings, movement, dance and music.
SEAS artists are making links this year with the Deal Music and Arts Festival, starting on 28th June, where some artists will be producing art during music events; you can combine Open Studios visits with open gardens on the 30th June; there are printmaking demonstrations on Saturday mornings; or have your portrait drawn on the spot during the final weekend.
